Diet Chef

So lets start off how and what have done at the beginning to loose the extra weigh that I have gained next to my partner....

First off was the Maxitone Sculptress Weight Loss System; I used the tables as I do not like the taste of the powder, they can flavor it as much as they like but it still tastes like powder for me. So I went for the tables, which you meant to take one of 30mins before every supper. I started off gradually and only took before breakfast and then before dinner but even this made me feel really diesy and sick constantly. I am not saying that it does not work but it was definitely no good for me.

So I found this AMAZING diet plan online called DietChef. They deliver your pre-cooked food for the next month. They have a list where you can choose from and you can make a decision of what to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I signed up with them for a 2 month plan including breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack. I had a lot of reservation about the food quality and taste as I was told that a month worth of food will be posted to you. My brain just could not comprehend the fact that the cooked food that they will post to you and suppose to be made from fresh ingredients and healthy will or more like HOW will last for a month without giving me any food poisoning. They have explained it to me over the phone and it did make sense - would not be able to tell you now, what was said - but I still had some reservations definitely about the taste.

In my order I have included for breakfast porridge, granulad, musli and cookie; for lunch it was many options of soups and some pasta salads and for dinner there were varies options from curry to pasta dishes, I ordered a mixture of things so I can have a bit of a taste of everything. When the boxes of food has arrived, I started eating them and I was in for a treat as 90% of the food was tasting GREAT. The 10% were dishes that I have never tried and it turned out I am not fund of them. All of the dishes were simple as they have already been pre-cooked for you so all you needed to do is heat them up and then put some side dishes with it.

For my Breakfast I always put some fruits with my porridge, some yogurt too with my musli or drank a glass of milk with my cookie - that tasted DELICIOUS!!! I haven`t eat such a good cookie for such a long time!! (I think I might need to order some of those again)



For Lunch as I have said it was mainly soups that I had so I had some Crackers with it and some grapes after so I have a bit of dessert. In the lunch dishes there was this one that I have never tried and I wasn`t really sure about even when I was ordering but it turned out to be one of the greatest dishes - Mixed Bean Pasta Salad! You must try this if you are going to start/try this diet!


As the amount of food that you eat is not that much I added carrot sticks as snacks and eat my 1 snack  pack a day before dinner, which I have moved to an earlier time - 7.00pm. I felt really hungry by then so I thought the timing is good for dinner and also studies show that your should not eat anything at least 2 hours before going to sleep, which is perfect as I go to bed around 10.00pm - so I can wake up in the morning to go to the gym for my workout. There were many great dishes that I garnished with salad, balsamic rice or some steamed vegetables.
My main issue is that I LOVE SNACKING and it is hard for me to give that up. Also I usually have to cook for 1 person as my partner is given food at his working place so I find it challenging to cook only me. I am not that enthusiastic about cooking for 1 and always end up with more then I can eat so I either eat the food for the next few days or have to through the food out, which is a waste that I am not happy with. This DietChef menu controlled my eating habits, helped me to focus and not go off track with my snacking and the preparation for a lovely lunch/dinner was sooooo simple and easy. I loved every minute of it and I am happy to recommended! Now talk about whether I have lost any weight and my answer is YES! Due to the healthy, controlled eating and the regular exercising I`ve got skinnier by dropping almost a full size. Wohoooooooo........ My reason for stopping is financial but since the diet I am more in control with what I eat. I make healthy choices and manage to keep control of my snacking (most of the times)..... I class DietChef a successful diet!!!!

Dieting

I am pretty sure most of you have already tried several different dieting advice and read about all of these miracle techniques: "she lost 2 Stones in 30 days", "lose all fat in 14 days" etc... So I though I will give a try to a few of them and see what happens.

As you all already know from my introduction (`About Me`) I have been doing a great amount of sport in my life. I was never satisfied with my weight when I was a teenager even tough I was skinny as all of my friends back then weighed between 7.8st (50kg) and 8.6st (55kg) while I weighed 9.2st (59kg). This resulted in me going onto a "diet" at an age of 17. This "diet" consisted of me hardly eating anything, I would class it as I was starving myself just so I can become 8.6st as well. After a few months of not eating but constant exercising I felt really weak and I only managed to go down to 8.8st (56kg), I have decided that it does not worth the effort so I started eating again. This was my first lesson about dieting: stones/kilograms does NOT matter!!!!! As many articles now-days point out so well muscle weights more then fat and people are built differently so I just have to accept that I will never be as skinny as some people - I will always have strong thies & legs. So I will never look like this:

As time has passed I had a period when due to my university studies and work I was not able to look after my health as much as I should have. This resulted in me becoming 11.1 Stones (71kg) from 9.2 Stones (59kg) as I am quite tall, 5ft6 (170cm) and muscular this weight gain only made me really uncomfortable in my skin as I just about fitted into my size 12 cloths.

My partner kept saying: "Oh I love it when there is something to grab on a woman! It is great that you are bigger as you are so soft now and cuddly."

but all I heard was: "You are fat."

It was not necessary the weight that I had a problem with, it was more what I was seeing in the mirror. I was not at all satisfied and even-tough I started exercising and watching what I was eating it felt like nothing has started changing even after 6 months. So I though lets give a try to these miracle foods/tables a try.....
